Unidentified Runes? How?
I see people trying to sell Unidentified Superior Rune of X. How do they know it is of type X if it's unidentified?

What they mean to say is "unsalvaged". You can identify a piece of armor to determine what rune it has, but, it remains an unlocked rune of x until it is salvaged. So, some people will buy them that way to unlock the rune for their pvp characters, although it is soooo easy now to unlock runes with pvp faction it's hardly worth the purchase prices some of these people are asking for them.

wow...Sonya for all the "superior elitist" comments you make that post truly identified how little you actually know.
A rune unlocks when you identify it. If you pick up a piece of armor that is either Blue(always minor) Purple (Always major) or gold (sometimes superior...most often major. I don't know how true it is but I've found that armor level 40 and higher tend to salvage into Superior more often than armor level 39 and below do) you should expert salvage the rune out before you identify it. This will allow you to tell what type of rune it is(judged by the image it shows)....and decide if you want to identify it and keep it/sell it to vendor or if you think it has a better chance of being sold to a PvP player looking to unlock it. |

ouch, that's rough. but now that I think about it I've gotten a few purple armors that weren't majors as well. I think I'll go armor farming and see if I can't find anything worth posting about Armor Levels and what Runes they normally salvage into. thanks for the correction guys. |
